Alia Bhatt’s ADHD and Anxiety Diagnosis Explained

Alia Bhatt, the renowned Bollywood actress, has recently opened up about her diagnosis of Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and anxiety. In a candid discussion on Jay Shetty’s podcast, she shared her experiences and the challenges she has faced due to these conditions.

Bhatt revealed that she was clinically diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety after undergoing a professional assessment that lasted three days. She expressed relief at receiving a formal diagnosis, stating that it provided her with clarity about her experiences. “I was finding it very hard. My body was heating up at social gatherings and I was physically responding to it,” she explained, highlighting the difficulties she faced in social situations.

Despite her diagnosis, Alia Bhatt mentioned that she is not currently on any medication. Instead, she is actively working on managing her symptoms and believes she is handling them well. She noted that her ADHD diagnosis has helped her understand her tendencies better, such as zoning out during conversations, a behavior she has exhibited since childhood.

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, often characterized by symptoms such as difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, and impulsivity. Bhatt’s openness about her struggles aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and the importance of seeking help.
