Recently, Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a death threat from a man residing in the Waghodia taluka of Vadodara district, Gujarat. The individual, a 26-year-old, was found to be mentally unstable, according to the Mumbai police.
The threat was communicated through a message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp helpline, where the sender claimed intentions to blow up Khan’s car and enter his residence to cause harm. Following this alarming message, the Worli police in Mumbai registered a case of criminal intimidation against the unidentified sender and increased security measures around Khan’s home in Bandra.
Upon investigation, police traced the threat back to the suspect in Gujarat. A team from Mumbai police, along with local authorities, visited the suspect’s home and confirmed his mental health issues. Consequently, the police issued a notice for him to appear before them.
This incident is not the first time Salman Khan has faced threats. He has previously been targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has made threats against him due to past incidents involving the killing of a blackbuck. In response to these ongoing threats, Khan has been provided with Y-Plus security by the authorities.
